Latest directions in chromatin research discussed at the Nencki Institute

On 17–19 June 2026, the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology of the Polish Academy of Sciences hosted the second edition of the Nencki Conference for Life Sciences: Focus on Chromatin Biology. The event brought together more than 120 participants from Poland and abroad.

Over three intensive days, researchers discussed the latest directions in chromatin research. The conference programme covered a broad range of topics: from the links between chromatin and metabolism, through the mechanics of transcriptional regulation and genome organisation, to computational approaches and the biophysics of nuclear bodies and biomolecular condensates.

Alongside lectures by world-class invited speakers, an important part of the programme was dedicated to talks and presentations by young researchers. Their projects also sparked many lively discussions - both in the lecture hall and during the poster sessions, which attracted great interest and became a space for exchanging scientific experience.

We would like to thank all guests and participants for the high scientific quality of the meeting and for creating such a special atmosphere. We hope to see you again at future scientific events organised by the Nencki Institute.
