In SPARK Europe Innovator Café, our panellists, who have either recently worked as scientists or are still active in the field, will discuss their journey of transitioning from scientists to entrepreneurs. They will share valuable insights and pitfalls they have encountered along the way. We will talk to:

Pavlína Janovská, PhD –as Head of Biology and postdoctoral fellow at CasInvent Pharma she continues to investigate the Wnt-pathway and the potential for CK1-inhibition in various cancers. This dual role allows her to combine academic knowledge with industry insights, demonstrating her dedication and expertise in moving from research to practical applications.

Vojtěch Helikar, MSc – CFO and COO at CasInvent Pharma who joined in 2021, bringing his extensive expertise in international business, investments, and innovation to the company. His proficiency in economic and financial matters has played a key role in driving Cas Invent Pharma's initiatives to new heights.

Sam Sharifi, Phd – CSO at Matter Bio and former SPARKee at SPARK-FLI, is a biogerontologist with over a decade of experience in aging research and translation. Prior to Matter Bio, Sam was the scientific project manager at Vincere Biosciences. During his academic career, Samco – authored various longevity research publications.
