Most of the Nencki Institute research laboratories operate within the Center for Basic and Translational Research in the Field of Biology and Biomedical Sciences.
This Center comprises of 27 laboratories which combine biology, biochemistry, computation and technology, to create novel approaches to understand the fundamental nature of biological processes and solve complex research problems of biology and medicine. Particular emphasis is placed on basic and translational research in the fields of neurobiology and civilization diseases.
