On October 10th the United State Patent and Trademark Office granted a patent (number P30805USPC) for an invention entitled: “Genetically encoded FRET –based MMP-9 activity biosensors and use thereof”. Patent application was submitted to the Patent Office by the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology. The authors of this invention are Dr. Michal Stawarski, Dr. Jakub Wlodarczyk and Prof. Leszek Kaczmarek from the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology.
