We have just completed another inspiring edition of the workshops for students organized as part of the Fundusz Zdolni Program. Over two exciting days, participants had the opportunity to explore modern biological and neuroscience research methods and gain first-hand insight into the daily work of scientists at the Nencki Institute of Experimental Biology, Polish Academy of Sciences.

The program combined popular science lectures with hands-on laboratory sessions. Participants attended inspiring lectures delivered by Prof. Dorota Dymkowska, Prof. Adriana Magalska, Prof. Katarzyna Radwańska, Dr. Katarzyna Ciuba, and Dr. Kinga Szydłowska. They then visited the Institute's laboratories, where they became familiar with state-of-the-art research techniques through practical activities.

During the workshops, students participated in laboratory sessions focusing on patch-clamp electrophysiology, neuroinformatics, cancer cell biology, research using the model organism Caenorhabditis elegans, and cellular metabolism. The workshops provided a unique opportunity to interact directly with researchers and experience the everyday reality of scientific research.
