During the conference different career paths following PhD have been presented: scientific research, work in pharmaceutical firms and non-governmental organizations and teaching. The presentations showed that all of these career paths can be pursued with success. Current Nencki PhD students also had a chance to show their research results. The meeting ended with a discussion on the role of the Nencki Institute in educating and promoting PhD students and the challenges faced by young people after completion of PhD studies in Poland.
In the evening everyone met for a play at the “OCH” Theatre.
The DOC 2012 CONFERENCE was organised by Prof. Jolanta Barańska, Nencki Alumni Club coordinator and Urszula Dziewulska, Head of the Human Resources and Recruitment in the Nencki Institute.
