“Finland (Wild Scandinavia)”

This film looks like a mosaic of water and woodland – Finland. Close to the Russian border, Finland still is home to rare animals. This Wild Scandinavia episode shows animal behaviour that has never been filmed before. It contains the first ever made shots of wild lynx in the finish wilderness, highspeed shots of goldeneye chicks jumping out of their tree nest and exciting encounters of bears and wolves. The film also gives us numerous insights of the fascinating life of wild – forest – reindeers, saimaa – seals, flying squirrels, wolverines, red – throated divers, black woodpeckers, ospreys, caspercaillies and shows the whole beauty of the aurora borealis.
