Prof. Jerzy Duszyński accepts the nomination for the post of Deputy Minister of Science

We are very glad to announce that Prof. Jerzy Duszynski, present director of the Nencki Institute has been nominated by the Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk, for the position of Deputy Minister of Science at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Prof. Duszynski, an author and co-author of many scientific publications, popular science articles, and a series of biological textbooks, will be responsible for the area of scientific research.

Since 2005 Prof Duszynski has been the national delegate for Poland to the BioMedSciences working group of the European Strategy Forum for Research Infrastructures and since 2006 he has been the Chairman of the Advisory Group for Research Infrastructure at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Currently a corresponding member of the Polish Academy of Sciences, for many years he has also chaired the Scientific Council at the Nencki Institute.

We wish Prof. Duszynski lots of success in his new position.
