Vernissage of prof. Marek Olszyński and Nencki Art Collection

On April 1, in the exhibition room of the Neurobiology Center of the Nencki Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences, there was an art exhibition of prof. Marek Olszyński, deputy dean of the Art Department of the University of Rzeszów. The exhibition, entitled "MO Pictures", comprises of around 30 works that were created in 1985-2018. The exhibit is open until 26 April this year, during the working hours of the Nencki Institute.

Professor Marek Olszyński is one of the initiators and organizers of Art and Science projects realized jointly with the Nencki Institute, and other members of the Artistic Council of the Nencki Art Collection, established on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Nencki Institute. This collection has recently been enriched by several works, painted by artists from the Art Department of the University of Rzeszów. Among them is the work by prof. Marek Olszyński, from the series "Żyjątka", donated by the author. In addition, is the painting "26.00.44" by Dr. Kamila Bednarska, which was donated by prof. Hanna Fabczak. Both works were created after the workshops "Biological imaging: inspirations invisible world", which took place in September 2017 at the Nencki Research Station in Mikołajki. Also, several graphics by Kamila Bednarska, Katarzyna Tereszkiewicz, Mikołaj Garlak, Sebastian Laszczyk, Alicja Skomra, Dominika Surmacz, Rafał Podsobiński, Małgorzata Jamborska, Katarzyna Kozłowska were added to Nencki Art. Collection. The works of the "Nencki Art Collection" collection are presented in office rooms and the library of the Nencki Institute.
